On average, more than 70 per cent of an ethanol plant’s revenue is spent within a 150 km radius of the site, but Greenfield’s commitment to its communities goes beyond business.

Employee Led Initiatives

  • Chatham Plant raises $47,378.51 for the United Way
  • Earth Day! Chatham plant celebrates Earth Day April 22nd by cleaning the local grounds and planting a tree
  • Chatham’s Rick Cadotte is presented with an award for his outstanding commitment to safety at the plant
  • Chatham’s Nicole Klatt Wood is presented with an award for her excellent contributions to community service
  • Chatham plant raised over $20,000 winning ‘Top Fundraising Community Team’ for the 2014 Relay for Life

Sports and Culture

  • Greenfield supports one of Quebec’s most respected theatre companies, Compagnie Jean Duceppe.
  • In 2006, Greenfield donated $100,000 to the restoration of the 78 year old Capital Theatre in Chatham.
  • Greenfield has sponsored the Varennes 46th Scout Group and the Pee-Wee Hockey Team of Boisbriand.

Education and Research

    • Greenfield co-sponsors the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program – a 19-month executive development opportunity for men and women actively involved in Ontario’s agriculture and food industry.
    • Greenfield’s donations to the Charles Bruneau Foundation have helped support cancer research and the construction of treatment facilities for children.
    • Tiverton Plant donates $1,000.00 to support Sacred Heart High School’s Battlefield Tour trip to France in May 2015
    • Tracey Geneau of Greenfield Johnstown gave Ethanol presentations at a local grade school; they were well received by all!
